All bird houses are suitable in any area of the country where a species exists.

Cavity nesting birds prefer certain sizes of bird houses and entry holes depending on the species of bird. We try, as close as possible, to re-create the cavity sizes suitable to the species based on scientific research. However, some species of similar size, from time to time enter into others bird houses. Sometimes to use them as warming box in winter, or in other cases to displace a more desirable species.
In some areas some cavity nesters are under considerable pressure to find suitable housing. Because of land clearing and dead tree removal their habitat is greatly reduced. In these areas some species may inhabit houses outside of it's prefered size.
